Since he was a teenager growing up in Beacon, New York, Ozzy has been serving his community and his nation. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 18 after graduating from Beacon High School and served America honorably as a soldier in the 10th U.S. Cavalry before beginning a career in law enforcement, first as a corrections officer and then as a decorated police officer where he was seriously injured in the line of duty.
Ozzy has lived in Fishkill since 1997 and attended hundreds of Town Board meetings as an engaged citizen before running for office. Ozzy was disgusted at how the Town of Fishkill was essentially run by developers, often at the expense of the quality of life of the citizens of our Town.
Motivated to change Town government from a system that works to benefit the developers to one that benefits YOU, the residents, Ozzy ran and was elected Town Supervisor in 2019. As Supervisor, he took power away from the big developers and gave it back to the residents, closed loopholes and changed our zoning laws to protect your quality of life, adopted a new Comprehensive Plan to protect water and open spaces, invest in parks and recreation, and make sure future development benefits the residents, NOT the developers. Ozzy has increased funding for our police department and supported initiatives to make our community safer for everyone and ensure everyone gets treated fairly and with respect.
Ozzy is dedicated to enhancing quality of life and boosting community pride with initiatives to increase civic engagement, preserve and promote our history, and invest in Town park spaces and the services you rely on. He spearheaded a statue project to honor Chief Daniel Nimham, made improvements to our Little League fields, and is using federal stimulus money to improve water and sewer at no taxpayer expense.
OZZY works for YOU!
